The Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine (ASLM) is pleased to announce a new partnership with Wenatex, a health-focused company dedicated to raising awareness about the science of sleep and the importance of healthy sleep environments.
Sleep plays a critical role in both physical and mental health, yet it remains one of the most neglected pillars of preventive care. Poor sleep is linked to a wide range of chronic conditions, including cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, depression, and cognitive decline.
Roni Beauchamp, ASLM CEO, says, “Sleep is a foundational aspect of Lifestyle Medicine. It’s not just a consequence of other health behaviours – it’s a determinant in its own right. Lack of quality sleep increases inflammation, impairs decision-making, and significantly worsens the management of chronic disease. If we want to meaningfully address the burden of chronic and mental health conditions, we must take sleep seriously.”
Wenatex, a company known for its research-backed sleep systems and community education, shares this commitment. Andrea Evers, at Wenatex, says, “We’re delighted to be partnering with ASLM to highlight the importance of healthy sleep. Our mission is to support healthy sleep through high-quality, science-driven products, educational workshops, and partnerships with health professionals, to assist in addressing some of the root causes of poor sleep. Whether it’s supporting sleep posture, reducing allergens, or teaching sleep hygiene habits, we’re proud to offer tools that complement the principles of lifestyle medicine and make a lasting difference in people’s lives.”
“We’re excited to partner with an organisation that not only supports evidence-based sleep solutions but is also committed to advancing education and awareness of its role in chronic disease prevention,” says Ms Beauchamp.
Through this partnership, ASLM and Wenatex will collaborate on a range of initiatives to promote sleep health and enhance public understanding of Lifestyle Medicine.
